LA Art Book Fair, copyright 2019 Printed Matter
A really big book event on the Left Coast for those who enjoy artist books of all kinds and sorts is the LA Art Book Fair that is hosted by NYC’s Printed Matter bookstore. Due to unfortunate circumstances, this event did not occur last year, so we are fortunate that this wild and crazy book event is BACK! I am expecting that as in previous years, there is a section for just contemporary photobooks and you will also find a few bookstores as well as book collectors and their wonderful collections available to check out. To provide a little bit of flavor, this is the report that Gerhard and I published for the 2017 LA Art Book Fair.
When: April 12-14, 2019 with opening night April 11th.
Where; The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA (Los Angeles); 152 N. Central Ave, L.A., 90012
One of the best parts: FREE to attend (which is why Saturday is an absolute mad-house)
